I’ve served on the AASD Board of Education since 2023, an honor of a lifetime, but I have a lot more work to do!

AASD, and public education everywhere, is facing challenges none of us has seen before. Our state legislature is perpetually unwilling to fund schools appropriately, and our federal government has stated their “final mission” to destroy public education. We need bold leaders with strong local connections.

I’m ready to support our district at the highest level, advocate for every single one of our students, and preserve our local values. Won’t you join me?

Mental Health Advocacy
At work I support LGBTQ+ youth and adults navigating our community resources. I have strong relationships with leaders in healthcare systems, mental health providers, advocates, and initiatives that benefit our students and families.

Support for Student Growth and Success
Through strong educator support, appropriate curriculum development and implementation, and a focus on meeting the unique needs of each student, we can continue to shrink gaps and improve graduation rates.

Accessible Information
I serve on two board committees: Policy and Community Linkages. I’ll continue working to make our policies clearer and more usable for families and the community, and I’ll continue the effort to make information about district decisions more accessible.

Unapologetic Public Education Advocacy
We are the people best equipped to improve our schools. That’s why, until the state legislature funds schools appropriately, I’m all in on the upcoming referendum. Many people pay more in streaming services than the cost to taxpayers per year. We’ve been doing the most with not enough for too long.
